@rosy_kbee Yes, you’re correct. Although, there are those who clear their samples and have proper written permission for such. It’s not that hard to actually obtain permission and for certain catalog they do reject inquiries to sample.

@Dj13Sa The line between sampling and interpolation is blurred. From my observation many of the Amapiano and house music gents will cry one day for their unauthorised IP usage. The only reason many get away with it for now is because the industry in SA is not that professionalised.

@rosy_kbee There are multiple ways of using someone’s IP, the other one is called interpolation. The amapiano jents do this a lot actually. The sampling culture is also beneficial for indigenous music here in our country.

@Mothematiks Going fully indie is a tough job and process which would require financial muscle in the long run. You can start of as indie but along the journey it starts hitting hard especially if you lack focus.

These labels are trying to kill Lekompo. King Monada album is so trash all because of Sony. Babethe has been terrible since he signed with Sony as well. Why don’t these guys remain independent since they have the streets and the masses? So many years in the game and still making amateur mistakes.

@TheRealShangaan Okes mix octane with fuel quality. In SA we use 93/95 cause of altitude, at sea level you find higher, but its not “worse”. Quality comes from refinement and additives, and SA fuel is on par with global, if not better. If you keen on 98/100 RON, VP Racing sells it locally.

Just found out we have low quality fuel in SA😨 My boys in Europe are saying 95 unleaded is for low quality cars, they’re shocked I’m saying I put 95 ULP in a Porsche 😭
