@Nati_Sports I'll go ahead and say it. Sign Trevor Bauer. So what if his proclivities differ from mine. He's not a criminal and should not be treated as one.

The #Reds genuinely have some of the most mid position players that there is. Guys playing all out of place, and guys that aren't even hitting. Man oh man.

@abarber1 Dealing cards is necessary for the game to function. Livestreams are not. But I still contend livestreams are bad for the average player and cost them money. I also think big blind ante should go away when there’s 3-4 tables left but I’m done with the spicy takes for today

@abarber1 Agree. I’m just saying what if the hands were AA and KK here, and KK gets away due to someone in audience? Hundreds of thousands in ev lost due to a livestream hole card mess up, that the player can never recoup.

@DjRodgers1231 Advocate away! But just know that it will never get anywhere because the players have zero bargaining power. Every single year, someone suggests a players union, and I have to repeat that it simply can’t work.

@abarber1 You’re usually smart and reasonable. What is wrong with advocating for the good of the players instead of the operators?

@KatieStonePoker Those are vanishing by the day if they want to play mid to high stakes. Wynn is building a stream room. Venetian did. Hard rock Hollywood sometimes and borgata both stream.

@ChrisVintinner @kclairerogers It’s not linear like that though. Even on their worst day, a pro isn’t losing several balls off the tee, chipping / putting it in the water multiple times, 5 putting, etc. a 15 with a poor short game could use up 70 shots chipping and putting.

@kclairerogers The worst score by a pro yesterday was +12. They say Pro's are +5 to +8. Based on that, someone who is a 15 shoots 15-20 more than their handicap. 102-107 sounds about right.

What would a 15 handicap shoot at Augusta National? I asked the experts!

@jeffplatt @fesuoy13 @BlaiseBourgeois Didn’t mean to imply wsop paid. And no I don’t think anybody but content creators and elite sponsored pros benefit from livestream coverage. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve used info I saw on a stream against a player… info I never should have had

@padspoker Players pay the buy in and rake. They grind away in obscurity 99% of live tournaments, but then suddenly are asked to play under the lights, with their cards visible to everybody, where live tells can be scouted and used in the future… and the player receives no compensation 🤔

@fesuoy13 @jeffplatt @BlaiseBourgeois In the good old days, if you ended up on a wsop stream, you’d get patched up and paid 5-10k even for day 1. Now you get nothing. Not even a comped hotel room, or your rake reimbursed. Meanwhile wsop sells the media rights to ESPN. Perhaps some of that money should go to players

@DjRodgers1231 @jeffplatt @BlaiseBourgeois This is actually a great point, I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger push for players on feature tables to be compensated per the time they spend on stream

@kclairerogers As a 15 handicap who has played some very good courses that are nowhere near Augusta’s level… 100 is laughable. I think 120 may even be a good line for a 15

@jeffplatt @BlaiseBourgeois Perhaps this is a good time to bring up that it’s completely unfair that players buy in with their own money, pay rake, and then are forced to give away valuable info about how they play, the streams can be studied for live tells, etc with zero compensation

@BlaiseBourgeois The monitor to the rail did show hole cards on hand one. Nobody shouted hand details or “fold” best I could tell…but they did most certainly shout that cards were seen on monitor. Obviously inexcusable and disastrous error, but was fixed right after

@TheYootopian Let’s say you’re right though. This will affect Americans 0 and it will hurt China a lot. China can always retaliate by withholding key materials used to make the medicines we depend on. Or by invading Taiwan and destroying the global tech market. Speaking of short sighted

Oil has gone down well under $100/barrel … the sky is not falling. Apparently, you don’t realize that the world’s production in fungible and can be made up elsewhere. You also haven’t accounted for the fact that the nation who is worst hit by this is China… You think they’ll times rate it for long? You’re way too short sighted.

@TheYootopian You started this off saying we won’t even notice. Up 33% in a month is impossible not to notice. Now you’re changing it to the sky isn’t falling. That’s quite different than “we won’t notice.” And I’m sure China is not happy. But we caused this problem. Not them.

@TheYootopian Slightly? Gas is up 33% in a month. I don’t know how many times this need to be explained, but it doesn’t matter how much oil we have here. If an American company can sell it elsewhere for more money, that’s what they’ll do.

@DjRodgers1231 Oh there might be slightly higher prices, but it won’t affect our supply. China, on the other hand, will have a real problem. Think they’re gonna let that sit?

🚨TRENDING: A Reddit users just found a way to end tanking in the NBA: - All arena beers start the season at $10 league-wide - For ever win, teams can sell beer for + $0.35 - For ever loss, teams must DROP beer price -$0.20 If this were in place, Wizards would have to pay fans 10 cents every time they ordered a beer.

@DjRodgers1231 I shouldn't have said, "stations squeeze", that wes incorrect. They just follow the deliver price which quickly follows the commodity market price.
