A pastor and his wife from South Carolina were arrested for more than 2 dozen charges related to child sex abuse, assault and battery, animal killings, and more, but a judge has decided to grant bond for the pastor's wife. Myron Chorbajian, 74, and Kathleen Chorbajian, 71, adopted numerous children over the years since the 1980s. The pastor is charged with sexually abusing the girls and violently assaulting the boys. He is accused of forcing children to search dumpsters and eat rotten and discarded food. The warrant says he paddled a naked victim 50 times, he beat a child with a belt until the victim lost consciousness, and he forced a victim to eat dirt from the floor. He is also accused of punching a child in the face and forcing the child to sleep in an outdoor trash can for 3 days. Investigators say Chorbajian ran over a child's kitten and then shot the kitten in the head in front of her. He also allegedly killed a dog in the presence of a child and forced the victim to bury the dog. The pastor's wife never once intervened.
