A Zimbabwean family is planning to sue the South African government and could receive millions in compensation. A man was accompanying his wife as she prepared to travel from South Africa back to Zimbabwe. She was carrying their 2-year-old son on her back. After seeing her off, the father was walking back to their rented place when a police car hit him and he died on the spot. Their 14-year-old son, who had stayed behind, called his mother and told her not to continue the trip because his father had just been killed. The mother immediately turned back. While crossing the road with the 2-year-old baby still on her back to reach her husband’s body, she and the baby were struck and killed by the official car of Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi.
