Day #227 of my journey to discover the hidden gems of the Hair Metal genre! I’ll be posting a “Song of the Day” for every favorite I find! Song Of The Day: Whiskey Train by Wild Horses What in THE FUCK is this and how have I NOT gotten to this yet?!😂 Just another slice of AMAZING Bluesy Hard Rock from the early 90s! And MY GAWD this album has got such great production! The guitars are full of punch and swagger. But there’s also melodic undertones all over this to make the songs catchy and memorable! And HOLY FUCK John Levesque is SUCH a great frontman! Such a smooth, Bluesy voice with great phrasing and charisma! AND he plays guitar on this thing!? WILD! The song above might be my favorite, but it was SO HARD to pick. I mean this whole album is amazing! No bad songs! Some of my other favorites are Cool Me Down, Your Love Is Junk, Fire And Water, Burn It Up and Tell Me Something Good! How in the FUCK did this band not get a second album during their heyday?! Maybe there’s a good reason, but I DON’T CARE damnit! 😂🤘🏻

Day 3 of CANADA WEEK 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Song of the Day: One More Chance by Alias I actually found this band and album from digging into ANOTHER great Canadian band, Sheriff! VERY good early 80s AOR band with only one album under their belt. But it’s GREAT and I HIGHLY recommend it! Guitarist Steve DeMarchi and singer Freddy Curci formed this band with former members of ‘Heart’ after Sheriff broke up. This album had one SUPER hit song on it (More Than Words Can Say), but you know me, I look for the ROCKIN hidden gems on these types of albums! This album is FILLED TO THE BRIM with catchy AOR that I feel should’ve given this band more of a shelf life! Freddy Curci’s vocals are INSANE on this album and if you don’t want away with this song’s hook STUCK IN YOUR HEAD…something’s wrong with you! 😂👊🏻🔥

@Bad_Hair_Decade Little Angels are one my fav ever bands. Fantastic live as well. Never mentioned enough. His newer stuff with Wayward Sons is good as well

@Bad_Hair_Decade Might be the name that puts folk off.. i had an album finish on Spotify and they played rock n roll after, been hooked since. Would maybe have skipped if it was just a recommended album with the name.
