Cancer is already stressful, but having people still question my story, my authenticity, my reasons for this project - that sucks. This video is how I felt this morning waking up to my X feed. Yes, I need the fees for medical, expenses, supporting my life and my bucket list. BUT, the more I raise the more people in my position I can help directly. These large charities are great but, how much do they actually help? They provide single grants, if you’re eligible based on a myriad of things like age, location, type of cancer, age etc. and a lot of the time it’s a one time grant. Have you looked at the salaries of those who run these foundations btw? I want to be able to find people in the space directly whose lives are affected by this disease, help people I meet on my journey. Whether it’s their bucket list, or maybe help even flying to see a loved one who is sick, or groceries - whatever it may be, with no barriers based on the above things. I’m going to keep working, and sharing my story with those who want to hear it, I’m going to keep pushing this project no matter what the mc is so that I can help more people, but I can’t do that without your support.
