Secularization is turning the nations of the world into nothing more than lifeless husks, devoid of a will towards art, charity, or even procreation. If the animating spirit leaves them, then the body will rot into nothing from a dуing population. Hopefully the worst is avoided.

It raises an interesting question as to the results of the Christianization of other civilizations. Would a Christian Japan, China, Turkey, etc. be the same civilization, or something new? Are they like a baptized man who is "the same" in one sense but a new creature in another?

My understanding of the fundamental pillars of a civilization are race + religion/worldview (body and spirit). A change in one these things creates a fundamentally different civilization.

Every tyrant who carves his name in stone so that future generations will remember him, cares what random peasants think about him; whether he'd like to admit it or not. The desire for fame (even infamy) is predicated on caring what random people think of you.
