📢 Big news! The Data Insights Agent is now live in preview on AppSource — as part of the CentralQ Chat app for #MsDyn365BC. Imagine asking: “Who are my top 5 customers by revenue in Q1?” “Show me the sales trend for item ‘X’ over the past year.” ...and getting answers instantly — with charts, summaries, and full transparency on how it was calculated. 🤯 👇

At @DirectionsEMEA #DirectionsAsia I introduced something to the BC community that I think has been missing — a structured way to build with agents. It's called Spec-Driven Development. The short version: stop vibe coding. Start writing specs. The spec is the brain. The agent is the muscle. Full blog post 👇 katson.com/spec-driven-de… If you missed, please come to @BCTechDays session "Agentic Coding in AL, Done Right" with me, @JeremyVyska and @SXShadowXS (the workshops are already sold out, sorry). Last session of the last day. Again. 🙂

Today I started Directions ASIA 2026 with a "Agentic Coding for AL" workshop. It was sold out pretty quickly. We even had to add chairs at the very last minute. I'm not going to lie — I was nervous. The workshop is completely new. And it's non-deterministic by design — every attendee walked in with a different agent harness, different models, different way of working. No two setups the same in the room. But that was exactly the point. I wasn't there to teach a tool. I was teaching an agentic workflow — one that works regardless of whether you're using Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or something else entirely. Did it work? The feedback says - yes. I'll take that. 😊 Also, it turns out I was not just opening the conference today. I'm also closing it with "Agentic Coding in AL, Done Right" — the very last session of the very last day. So don't leave earlier 😉 And the last one, please join me, @waldo1001 @ajkauffmann @vjekob and @KeptyCZ at the "How We Use AI in our AL Development Workflow" panel - Thursday 5:00 pm. I think you should listen to what we are going to discuss and participate in the conversation. If you have any questions, ideas or just want to say "hi" - find me, i'll be around. Wish everyone a great Directions ASIA! 🚀 @DirectionsEMEA #DirectionsASIA #Agents #AI

2 weeks left before Directions ASIA kicks off. 3 seats left at my "Agentic Coding for AL" workshop. The same workshop already sold out at BC TechDays, twice. Register 👉 directionsforpartners.com/asia2026 While preparing for the workshop I realized that the main shift is not the tools we use — it's the mindset we apply. What changes in your head after this day: - You stop writing cleverer prompts. You start building better context. - You develop the habit of researching what BC already has before asking the agent to build anything. - You learn to challenge the agent's plan with your own knowledge, instead of just saying yes. - You understand the difference between the model, the context, and the harness — and which one to change when things go wrong. This workshop is not about learning a specific tool. They change every day. It's about a workflow and a way of thinking that transfers across Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Codex — whatever you use today or in the future. @DirectionsEMEA #DirectionsAsia #BusinessCentral #ALDevelopment #AgenticCoding #MSDyn365BC

I watched the "Project Hail Mary" movie. Immediately read the book. Then watched the movie again. You know that feeling when a story ends and you just... don't want to leave, question. Rocky got me. I didn't want to let it go. So I built an MCP server that makes AI agents talk like Rocky. Now my coding assistant greets me with "Fist my bump." Reviews my code with "Code dirty. Much dirty." And whenever I commit something clean — "Good. Proud." It's free, open source, and works with Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, and basically any agent harness that supports MCP. Just say "Hey Rocky" and your agent switches into Rocky mode. Amaze, amaze, amaze what you can build now. 🔗 github.com/DmitryKatson/r… #ProjectHailMary #MCP #ClaudeCode #OpenSource #AIAgents #AndyWeir

Thanks for a great talk, @dvlprlife and @Matalino16 - always a pleasure, and it seems we’ve founded a new tradition: talking about AI every spring 😉 Do you think this would be a good name for this episode? 🎬 AI Agents - No Time to Die 👀
Brad@dvlprlife

✅ ⚠️ Your AI Agent Has No Memory — It Dies After Every Message ⚠️✅ In this episode of @DynamicsCorner , @Matalino16 and I bring back @DmitryKatson — CentralQ creator and 10-year AI practitioner — for the clearest breakdown of how AI agents actually work that you'll hear anywhere. If you've ever wondered what's really happening behind the curtain, this is the one. ➡️ Dmitry's unforgettable analogy: every time you send a message, the model is born, reads your conversation, answers, and dies — no memory, no continuity ➡️ Why the same prompt in GitHub Copilot and Claude Code gives you different results (hint: it's not the model) ➡️ Voice mode isn't speech-to-text anymore — it's true audio-to-audio, and Dmitry uses it as a personal speaking coach ➡️ The fruit fly brain experiment that will change how you think about where AI is headed Whether you're new to AI or deep in agentic development, this episode will recalibrate how you think about every tool you use. Press play. youtube.com/watch?v=dCDLoL… #MSDyn365BC #BusinessCentral #DynamicsCorner #AI #CentralQ

I’m coming to Directions ASIA 2026 🇻🇳 — this time in a completely new place, Vietnam. Asia events are always close to my heart. Not only because I live here and love it, but also because of the strong desire to learn I see in attendees’ eyes. But this year is special. Not only because of the new location, but because AL development with AI has jumped to a completely new level. At the same time, it also brought new challenges: agentic frameworks, coding agents, MCPs, skills, plugins, rules, CLI, context management… a lot of new words that we didn’t even hear before. And now we need to understand how to configure and combine all of this to make AI actually work effectively. That’s why I decided to do both a session and a full-day workshop about agentic development. The workshop is not about tools — tools change every day. It’s about the way of thinking. How to approach development with AI so you can apply the tools of today and tomorrow. That’s what you (hopefully 🙂) will get from it. And of course, I’ll share my personal AI development workflow, which I’ve been carefully shaping over the last couple of years. If you’re working with Business Central and trying to make sense of all this — this is for you. directionsforpartners.com/asia2026/train… Register — as always, seats are limited, but you know that 🙂 See you in Ho Chi Minh! @DirectionsEMEA #DirectionsASIA #AI #AgenticDevelopment #Workshop #Conference #Session

I was preparing for a workshop about AI in Business Central and decided to build a timeline web page. …iness-central-ai-timeline.centralq.ai From the first ML forecasts in Dynamics NAV 2017, through the Copilot wave, to today's autonomous agents — the timeline covers every major AI milestone, including official Microsoft features and community contributions. Fully open source — suggestions welcome 🙌 github.com/DmitryKatson/b… Built with React + Vite + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS v4 — and yes, mostly vibe-coded with Claude (except the knowledge 😄 ) What milestone would you add? #BusinessCentral #MicrosoftDynamics365 #Copilot #AIAgents #ALDev #ERP #OpenSource #VibeCoding

🔥 Should you share how you work with AI — or keep the advantage to yourself? I've been asked this a lot lately. And honestly, I asked myself the same question. So I wrote about it. Not a tech blog this time. Sorry :) Just thoughts. What 20 years of community taught me. katson.com/spread-the-fir… #AgenticCoding #AI

Perplexity Computer just one-shot my favorite game I used to play with my Dad. He came up with it at Moscow Physics University in the 80s and it's been our family favorite ever since. Submarines is a spin on battleships, but there are only 5 submarines (1 square ships), and each time you shoot you see how many enemy subs are in the line of sight so you can triangulate. Hard difficulty uses Monte-Carlo sim to stay competitive. Give it a try it now: perplexity.ai/computer/a/sub…

I never understood parents limiting screen time in general. It’s important to understand what exactly the kid is doing on their screen. If it’s YouTube or Roblox - the screen time is super small for us. For Claude code or Roblox Studio - it’s much bigger. For Perplexity, Kindle, Audible, and Wikipedia it’s unlimited.
liemandt@jliemandt

@helenrey Parents who choose our schools have decided that they prefer their child to spend 2 hours on screen time to receive accelerated academics, freeing up afternoons for running around and doing team-based projects rather than sitting in class for 6 hours.

Yes I read the something big is happening article. My question is what do AI bros expect people to DO? “AI is coming for your job. It already took mine as a X” So the audience should do…what? Save money? Hopefully people are doing that in general. If you’re going the doom route and want to be seen as a leader, have a ROADMAP for what you want people to DO.

Tbh i don’t get the hype. The is no any new technology under the hood. Yes, probably the biggest AI public experiment, but it’s just LLM generating text based on other LLM text based on other LLM text etc. As LLM was trained on reddit data as well, this portal could be viewed as a mirror of us. Imho

Ooooof friends: here is a strange new thing going down in the AI-verse. Moltbook from OpenClaw (formerly known as ClawdBot aka MoltBot) Moltbook is a Reddit-like social media site where bots communicate with each other. If you’re building AI Agents, please look into the permissions you give it about communicating with other Agents! simonwillison.net/2026/Jan/30/mo…

Finding the right workshop topic for BC TechDays is always a challenge. For the previous years I taught about how to build AI. This year will be different — I want to show how to build WITH AI. Just submitted a brand-new workshop: “Agentic Coding for AL” — based on my 2+ years of agentic development experiments (and a lot of lessons learned 😄). I really hope it will be accepted — I have so much to share. If you also want to share your experience, submit a session or workshop for BC TechDays — the best tech conference for #msdyn365bc. The community needs to learn from you! sessionize.com/bctechdays2026 #BCTechDays #BusinessCentral #AL #AI #AgenticCoding #Workshop

🚨[New Blog] Connect Any Agent to Business Central Want to connect Cursor, Claude, VS Code or other AI agents to Business Central, but you're on a Mac? 🤔 👇 At the end of last year Microsoft introduced BC MCP to connect agents to Business Central. But the current version works only with Copilot Studio agents. There is also an MCP proxy that allows you to connect other agents like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc., released by Microsoft at the end of the previous year, but it works only on Windows. I'm using Mac, and not only me. So I did what any developer would do — I built a cross-platform Python version. 🐍 Now you can connect any agent to Business Central on Mac, Windows, or Linux. One command to install and configure. 👇 Check out the full story and setup guide: katson.com/connect-any-ag… #msdyn365bc #BusinessCentral #MCP #AI #Agents #Python
