But does it really have the support of everyone in Ireland? There are pros and cons to the legalisation of any drug for personal use. Cannabis can cause psychosis, altered senses, memory issues, slower reaction times, and anxiety, not to mention the health implications for the respiratory system if smoked.
On the other hand, people argue that prohibition puts its sale in the hands of criminals, and some suggest cannabis can relieve chronic pain.

Here’s Mr Steenson in O’Connell Street yesterday telling the crowd that the Gardai are there to help. I don’t for one second think it’s naivety on Steenson’s part, so make of it what you will.

I witnessed first hand Steenson corralling protesters at the Coolock protest down to Coolock Garda station from Crown Paints which I found odd. It felt like a surveillance operation. Why is @MalachySteenson so cosy with the regime henchmen. This seriously needs to be addressed.
