This is a misunderstanding of how trailing drawdown & equity peak work, and it’s actually one of the most basic rules in funded trading. Your max loss trails your highest equity (equity peak), not your starting balance. So in your case: → You went to +$1100 profit → that becomes your new equity peak → Your max loss now trails from that higher level → When price retraced, your equity dropped enough to hit that trailing threshold You didn’t lose because you were “in profit”, you lost because you gave back too much from your peak. Also, you mentioned a $1200 max loss, which suggests this is a $20k account. That means this single trade was swinging ~6% up and down. That’s already way too much risk for one position, max allowed risk per trade is 2% and daily dd 3%, what gave you the idea that going for 5%+ trade is a good thing. At that level of exposure: → Even normal market pullbacks can breach your limits → You’re constantly sitting on the edge of violating rules That’s exactly why: → TP (Take Profit) exists → lock in gains → SL (Stop Loss) exists → control downside → And why scaling out or securing profits is key If you let +$1100 float back to +$300 with no protection, you’re not managing risk correctly. All of this is clearly explained in our FAQ and rules, these are fundamentals you should fully understand before trading a funded account. Bao gives you capital. Good question 👍 The $26 max loss you’re seeing is not your current loss, it’s the drawdown calculated from your highest equity point, not your starting balance. So even though you’re currently +$44 in profit, your account likely went higher at some point, and from that peak there was a $26 drop, which is what’s being tracked. In prop trading, all risk rules are based on equity (including floating PnL), not just closed profit, so this is completely normal Also, we’re one of the very few prop firm platforms where all your stats and limits are clearly displayed directly on the HUD, so you always know exactly where you stand in real time, no guessing, no hidden rules.
