@magnolia_321 @brad_polumbo @WTSmith17 @MikeNellis I would love to see both of them using the Socratic method of asking a question rather than answering it in a eternal Socratic loop. Trump may or may not be a pedo but whether or not you like him ..we all secretly know he is "deeply perverted" in more ways than we can count.

That was a weak defense of Trump. Trump has a reputation of being a womanizer and he has made crude comments. He has never said he was ok with a 14 year old. The comments on Sterns show was about age limits of WOMEN which he was clearly ok with dating young women. He then clarifies he would not do what Foley did (which was with 16-17 year olds) but in Trump fashion, exaggerates and says 12 year olds. I also fail to understand how someone that has done the following could be accused of protecting pedos. (1) Helped the prosecution of Epstein in 2011 (2) DOJ in the first administration opened an investigation in NY resulting in his arrest (3) DOJ in his second administration has released millions of documents regarding Epstein

.@MikeNellis: "The president might be a pedophile..." Me: "I'm not aware of any actual evidence that Donald Trump is, himself, a pedophile." @MikeNellis: "I don't know if Trump is a pedophile or not, I don't throw that stuff around—" @WTSmith17: "You just did!" @MikeNellis: "I'm not throwing it around, I'm saying with what we know—and don't know because they refuse to release the Epstein Files—it's reasonable for people to feel that way." You're not paying attention. Read my first reply. It speaks for itself. I don't have to explain it. When I had 200 followers I wrote a tiny paragraph. It got 1,000 likes and I got 50 more followers. Having a Philosophy degree and being a Professional writer is becoming someone, not getting something.

@skyy152446 @triggerpod @WTSmith17 I think we have gone off on a tangent here a bit. My premise is that polarization of ideologies puts each of us in a closed circle of ideological thought...if we open the circle and empathize this leads to seeing each others reality. Then critical thinking can take place.

@DoCarryOnThen @triggerpod @WTSmith17 Just be careful in your quest to find the truth in such an inclusive way, you do not get blinded to the truth of what is going on. It is not a game, and it is not something you do for sport or to get one up on other people. It is your life and your Soul.

@DoCarryOnThen @triggerpod @elonmusk @WTSmith17 I was never talking about critical thinking beyond what critical thinking would look at Elon Musk and say. If you wanted to have a discussion about critical thinking, why did you leave it and reply to me? I didn't even listen to that podcast. No podcast has ever interested ME.

Just for reference on the Cricket Farm: The massive cricket-processing facility in London, Ontario, operated by Aspire Food Group, is located at 2450 Innovation Dr. in the city's east end. Situated in Innovation Park near Veterans Memorial Parkway and Highway 401, this 150,000-square-foot facility was designed as the world’s largest automated cricket production plant.

@007GoldMiner @Kumotracyleah @toronto_morning MPs are not legally bound to stay in a party...trust me in this "The courts generally won’t interfere in parliamentary composition" Voters don’t “own” the seat and MPs aren’t employees of their constituents.

@skyy152446 @triggerpod @WTSmith17 Critical thinking isn’t about ‘waking up’ into one approved headspace. It’s the ability to move between perspectives and examine ideas without getting trapped in a closed loop of thought We all have different realities that coexist. Pride keeps us in one without seeing the others

@HLehmann73406 @sischre @Concern70732755 I’m as disturbed by that as I am by the idea of eating a cow’s liver..my brother used to wrap liver on a milk bottle when I was a kid telling me it was a living entity that moved around the fridge...I remember seeing it slip slowly off the bottle of milk when I opened the fridge

@DoCarryOnThen @triggerpod @elonmusk @WTSmith17 What l meant had little to do with critical thinking and much to do with Elon Musk. You're playing a different game. One of the skills of a Professional Writer is the ability to write so well their writing speaks for itself. Poor writers without this skill write explanations.

@skyy152446 @triggerpod @WTSmith17 When critical thinking gets weakened, it’s not exclusive to one ideological direction. Institutions or ideas on the right and left can both drift into certainty based thinking. The pattern of "certainty" is more about polarization than a single political source.

Yes, certainly. But if you got a river trying to flood a whole valley, and a little stream contributing to it as well, you better look at the freaking river instead of trying to muddle the narrative that way. That is intellectual dishonesty in my opinion. Not saying it is not prevalent. It is. You are another mouthpiece of it.

@Kumotracyleah @007GoldMiner @toronto_morning 2.. An MP isn’t meant to be fully beholden to a party line that flexibility is what gives voters in a riding real political clout beyond voting day because their representative can respond to local expectations, not just the party line or discipline.

@brothermario @triggerpod @elonmusk @WTSmith17 I think what you meant is that critical thinking allows nuance, but the example reads like two competing slogans rather than a clear explanation of it. Ironically, it kind of undercuts the ‘professional writing’ angle.

@brothermario @triggerpod @elonmusk @WTSmith17 Critical thinking doesn’t produce one fixed opinion of a person..so both evaluations of Musk can exist together. One could say he is an amazing person who is sometimes idiotic living a complex and often amazing and sometimes idiotic life. A truth for many of us.

@Cry4meSelena @BNNBloomberg Canada isn’t a collapsing and mortgages aren’t ‘valueless’ they’re regulated financial instruments backed by real assets and one of the most stable banking systems in the world. Canada + U.S. both have leverage because both economies are deeply interdependent, not one-sided.

@BNNBloomberg Canada has ZERO leverage as a collapsing post national state’ Get your money out while you can the mortgage market cannot legitimately exist in Canada with land being given away by the government at any time. Mortgages in Canada are valueless now.

@CyrAnthony60855 @BNNBloomberg Canada doesn’t “have nothing” in trade negotiations with the U.S. The relationship is fundamentally reciprocal and highly integrated, especially in autos, energy, agriculture, and critical materials. That’s exactly why disputes are difficult, both sides are exposed in dif.. ways.

@BNNBloomberg Leverage in trade negotiations isn’t just one big card you declare publicly ..it’s usually a mix of timing, mutual dependence, and sector-specific pressure on both sides. Canada’s leverage comes from being deeply embedded in U.S. supply chains.

@BNNBloomberg Canada can tolerate slow negotiation cycles because its exposed sectors are large, capitalized, Used to slow trade talks. Some U.S. small exporters experience faster existential pressure because they are less diversified and more dependent on stable cross-border access.

@ChristinaZ5927 @triggerpod @elonmusk @WTSmith17 Schools and universities are messy and inconsistent, but they still include a wide range of genuine debate. We all have Polarized “closed circle” thinking and form beliefs mainly from a like-minded group, so ideas are reinforced internally and opposing evidence is filtered out.

Critical thinking isn't 'dead' it's under deliberate assault in our institutions, from courtrooms to classrooms. As a former prosecutor who fought for truth in criminal & family law before dedicating my life to child advocacy, I've seen how groupthink replaces evidence and reason. Warren Smith is right: we must reclaim it to protect the next generation. Independent minds built America let's defend them fiercely. @elonmusk @xai What say you on reviving real discourse?
