Last weekend Dr. Jay Gilbert was at Troy University in Alabama where he was a guest conductor and clinician at the Southeastern United States Concert Band Clinic. While there he conducted the Troy Symphony Band and connected with composers Robert W. Smith and Brian Balmages.

Doane Choir started their tour early this morning and will have a joint concert tonight with the Wayne State College Choirs! @WSC_Music

Doane has required vaccinations for all students, and they will sing masked at all times. Everything is free! Join us if you're able, comfortable, and interested. The students are eager to be performing again! (3/3)

Doane Choir leaves next week for a small tour to Minnesota! The tour will kick off in Wayne on February 9 featuring a joint concert with the Wayne State College choirs. After traveling to the Twin Cities, the tour will end with a home concert in Crete on February 13. (1/3)

Happy Birthday to Dr. Jay Gilbert and freshman Kelly Harris! Students and faculty came into band rehearsal to sing and play happy birthday and eat cupcakes. And students presented Dr. Gilbert with a bag of gifts that included a music jokes book and a dinosaur holding a baton.

Due the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Doane Concert Band & Jazz Ensemble cancelled their tour to Wisconsin. However, they will still give their "home concert" this Sun. Jan. 30 at 3 pm. Guests can attend in person or watch online via our livestream on Facebook!
