@1928Forsyth @AyrBrush @MePeterNicholls @camruined only one set of which is applicable to any single store at any single time time, and they need to update their prices anyway when a change happens, because they need to keep up to date on the price they charge you at the till. why not keep the shelves updated at the same time?

Americans can you please explain WHY tax is added on at the end like why don’t y’all just display prices with the tax already included?? it just doesn’t make sense !!!

@1928Forsyth @AyrBrush @MePeterNicholls @camruined do you have one store that is in all those municipalities at the same time? different stores from the same chain have different prices for the same item, and they all need to know the price after tax anyway to take your money, why not tell you the amount?

@1928Forsyth @MePeterNicholls @camruined As for it changing from location to location, I'm sure item prices do as well, so each store can just have their own price labels that include the local taxes, as they need to know the final price to charge at the till anyway

@1928Forsyth @MePeterNicholls @camruined it's the same down here, the store only collects the VAT that they then pass on to the taxman, yet we still manage to tell our customers what they'll be paying in total, rather than tell them what they'll be paying us, and adding an extra charge at the end.

@opinonhaver It is definitely very weird that the novels have Emily abolishing the Abbey when it was the only institution in the whole of the Empire to resist Delilah - Emily is marked by the Outsider though so you know, truly they are betrayed

Also the only institution that says “no, this is wrong” when an evil witch takes over the government and attempts to do something about it. Fails, but probably still more inspiring than clandestinely murdering and lobotomizing her regime to the average guy in Dunwall.
