BREAKING: The UK government wasted nearly two-thirds of the money it spent on protective equipment - almost £10bn - and had 'perilous' stockpiles that were unprepared for the pandemic, the COVID-19 inquiry has found. Read more: trib.al/wDOn8bE

Actually it wasn’t. Dame Heather Hallet found *no* evidence of cronyism or corruption on the part of ministers or officials. Mistakes *were* made. Honest mistakes. I take full responsibility for that. But the allegations of corruption are unfounded nonsense

"The VIP lane was a textbook case of corruption and cronyism." The daughter of Christina Fulop, who died from COVID, speaks out after it was revealed that nearly £10bn of taxpayers' money spent on PPE was wasted. trib.al/sEEMTLs 📺 Sky 501, Virgin 602, Freeview 233

Richard Tice all over the place on #newsnight Farage turned down state funded security because he needs considerable security Then He isn’t spending the £5 m because he doesn’t know how long he’ll be an MP and the lay security will fall away Finally Reform is paying for security

Nigel Farage just said the UK was better in the 1950's In the 1950's the Government owned Gas, Oil, Rail, Power, Steel, Telecoms, Mail, Shipbuilding, Airports, Social Housing, Care Homes (Children and Adults), Schools, Hospitals... And built 300,000 Council Houses a year.

Dan, Thanks for confirming that you have no decency, nor integrity. Instead, just obsessed against Reform. Now we all know for certain. Only question is whether it is your personal decision, or the instructions of your employer to behave in this way.

Oh, that. No, you guys are deliberately trying to deflect from the £5m donation. That's self-evident. I'm not going to be apologising for that. I'm going to keep repeating it.

During the Brexit referendum I had a draw full of death threats, they came in weekly. Once Nigel retired from politics he was quite right to take the £5m gift to secure him and his family for life. As we have seen during the last few days no one is safe.

So now the truth is coming out - the 'demi god' Farage is above the level of protection offered to the likes of the Leader of the Opposition....... It really is a cult mentality Also highlights the lies from Reform and the line that he has always been refused security Farage refused taxpayer-funded security because it was ‘inadequate’ Reform UK decided to continue providing its own protection for Nigel Farage, rather than ‘gamble with his life’, a spokesperson said independent.co.uk/news/uk/politi…

@ladyslabour @DPJHodges Farage obviously doesn't take the threat too seriously himself. It was just a few days ago he admitted that he had spent £0 of the £5mil he claims to have been given for his security.

Think it's worth repeating. Zia Yusuf claimed no state support was being offered to Reform MPs for protection. In reality, Nigel Farage was offered a car, a trained driver, a bodyguard, and security on a similar level to that offered Kemi Badenoch. That's quite the deception.

On the issue of what stirs up hate: * Reform hosted Lucy Conolly on their main stage at conference * Senior members of Reform, such as Zia Yusuf, regularly describe their political opponents as "traitors" * When Keir Starmer's house was firebombed, prominent Reform supporters circulated Russian propaganda minimising, and joking about, the attack So when it comes to political discourse what are the rules. If jeering at Nigel Farage in the House of Commons chamber crosses a line, what is the line now.
