Wrote an article about math today. And ya know what?... It was fun!
I blame @DocBuhrman. 😆

Mrs. Salinas led her scholars in New vocabulary to kick-off the unit.
We love seeing curriculum connections through literacy and science!

Ken gets it. A guaranteed and viable curriculum can only be as undertaken with a collective mindset to support students on a finite number of learning goals. #atplc

Had to share! This group of kids get so excited over math! When checking each other’s work they are cheering for getting answers right! Makes my teacher heart happy to see them excited about learning and growing their math skills! #springmath #gips

@MitchRoush I cried. And not ashamed. It's a beautiful movie.

@NDE_Math @MarissaPayzant @ExcelinEd @NDE_TLA Will there be a recording of this for those of us in Nebraska to watch? Or an opportunity to hear/see at some point?

Ikigai - your reason for being. Your purpose.
Had a marvelous morning with @GIPublicSchools coaches this morning, beginning with a reflection of our Ikigai. What are you good at? What do you love? What matters to you? What can you be paid for?

Ready for a great day at @NATMathematics annual conference! Kicking off the day with some of my favorite people listening to @howie_hua sparking our curiosity!

@MandyMathEd I also think the nature of "networking" has changed. You used to go to conferences primarily to network and talk math with other math educators. Now you can lean into virtual experiences, social media, etc. to do your "networking" and not need to attend a conference.
English

@MandyMathEd Cost, complete lack of subs, fewer math teachers.
I also think looking at what research tells us about professional learning. Conferences are a "one occurence" learning experience. How many things do we collect from those that sit on a shelf? Real learning is on-going.
