I am very sad to share the news that my dear friend and colleague Professor Della Fish, after a busy and fruitful life, died yesterday.

@Dawn_French If someone scans the QR code, does it give you an address to return him to if he gets lost?

@chrisjudge, thought you might like to see a knitted version of your lonely beast, made for my daughters class for when they read the book

We don’t even know where to start with this…our Prime Minister not wearing a mask in an NHS hospital. While elsewhere in the same hospital no doubt people lay sick and dying from COVID 19 as staff held their hands. Is this sheer arrogance or just plain contempt for NHS staff?

Sainsbury’s have outdone themselves with substations this week. Looking forward to a nice relaxing bath in sanitary towels

The Prime Minister promised transparency about this vaccine roll-out. Yet the government have published NO information about how many UK healthcare workers have received vaccine doses Please help us to hold the government to account by re-tweeting this. Thank you. @EveryDoctorUK

Another successful socially distanced ALS at ELHT. Another 8 doctors successfully completed. Thanks to Stuart Warburton and Jenna Kenny for their hard work in the heat while I watched and contributed on Teams #ALS #ELHT

@j59dd Frustrated by not being a part of it, feel like I’m hiding. Well I am! But at the same time feeling guilty for being allowed to be safe while my husband and my friends are in the thick of it. Trying to find ways to play my part.

As a clinical leader I am challenged but strangely exhilarated by this situation. The way staff have responded is incredible. Sometimes feel guilty for the exhilaration. Important to be open about how we are feeling. Emotional toll on staff can’t be underestimated. How are you?

ravelry.com/patterns/libra… saw this from a friend in another trust. If any knitters/sewers/quilters etc are able make a pair of MATCHING hearts around 6.5cm/6.5cm to give to the relatives of those bereaved in intensive care as they’re currently not allowed visitors. @ELHT_NHS 1/5

@DocChrisClark @j59dd We sure do Chris, definitely feeling the strain. Especially as we are working opposite shifts. 9 days without a day off together! Xx

What are we bringing home from hospital shifts at this time? Probably not the virus, but our emotions and tales that effect our families emotions. They are proud but scared. Who is looking after them?
