My memory was that it was a great effort on very good defense but he came up big when it mattered. The efficiency numbers back that up. I and remember Maxey seeming unstoppable until the last game. That series and the next kind wrote the book on how to guard Brunson. Put a big wing on him and just wear him down over the series. Past 2 years, he got less effective with each round. I love this new offense with the diversity of shots and spreading it around. Brunson looks fresh.

@DocCoyle @AndrewJClaudio_ yeah, divo did a bad job on maxey. brunson put up 35.5/9/4, no second option, and im not sure efficiency matters THAT much with that kind of volume and no second option when he won.

This must feel like solo open gym for Brunson after being guarded by Dyson Daniels for 6 games.

@hoodimikal @AndrewJClaudio_ He shot 43% and 30% from 3. Scored a lot but not good efficiency. Maxey in the same series was 30, 5, and 7 on 48% shooting and 40% from 3.
