They did a pretty great job integrating Jason's unique lore. I LOVE that they find ways to sprinkle new details about The Unknown. It can regenerate damage and move severed limbs like The Thing??

@Creepergriff Jason is a huge horror character that maintains relevancy through the legacy of the franchise. He's only been less relevant because of the lawsuit years ago. You seem to heavily underestimate how largely popular Jason is, even if you're not fond of him, and that's fine.

@DocShock1 My friend, I have to be constantly reminded Jason exists. I watched the movies when I was a kid, but he's just not culturally relevant now. Hasn't been for decades. He'll enjoy a resurgence in popularity, but I don't think it'll last long. Not with how plain his design is anyway

@Nardz7 Gun being in affiliation with the game doesn't necessarily mean they call the shots on these things. Once that lawsuit years ago cut the chord on their work, Gun effectively has no ounce of those rights. JU is likely using the game as a loophole to monetize the other Jasons.

@FrostLouve I would understand someone knowing who Freddy Krueger is and not Legosi's Dracula, so that is fair. At the bare minimum, it feels like it would be common knowledge for some things, with or without context. It's like being a Marvel fan and not knowing who Spider-Man is.

@DocShock1 I just don’t think not knowing every major figure automatically makes someone a “poser.” Horror has a massive history, and people are introduced to it through different eras and styles. It just means they haven’t been exposed to that part of the genre yet.

Other than that mid drink commercial, the ptb is gonna be the first time this Jason design gets to be presented as the character. If fortnite and CoD helped it grow on me, I'm gonna be sold on the way he moves here soon.
