Welsh Football History A-Z based off things in my books. U - Unionists Barry Unionist Athletic was formed in August 1898 as a direct replacement for Barry District AFC, when the Unionist Athletic Club decided to organise a team under Association rules. They entered the South Wales League, @FAWales Welsh Cup and South Wales Senior Cup. Their colours were given as chocolate and blue. The club won the @SouthWalesFA Senior Cup in their first season when they beat @RhayaderTownFC in the final. They won it again in 1901 when they beat @LlandrindodAFC They won the South Wales League in 1902. The club was then disbanded and reformed as Barry United Athletic.
