@LongDesertTrain Thanks Ryan! Recommend getting in touch with Yaron Tomer, who wrote the code and is super helpful. Happy to put you in touch if you need.

Looks like a very cool preprint from @DoctorBou documenting widespread viral adaptation to human kinases. The Kinase Library used here looks awesome, and I want to learn how to use it once I finish my current project.

Thrilled to share the first major preprint from the lab. Viruses are classically viewed as targets of host sensing. Do viruses also sense and respond to the host? We propose viruses may act as “biosensors” of the host signaling state. A thread👇🏾 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

In sum, our findings suggest the possibility that viruses evolved as biosensors of the host signaling state, unveiling new antiviral opportunities aimed at disrupting virus decision-making.

Nature Communications @NatureComms editor Sonja Schmid visits @idlabs_astar to describe her work and the journal to our scientists. 9 years of editing hundreds of accepted papers and ten thousand submissions! I remember meeting her at Mount Sinai just as she was completing her postdoctoral and starting this career!
