Just realized it was July 1st this afternoon when speaking to residents eg Interns who were clueless about what was going on. But give them a year and the growth they’ll have!!!

By totally immersing yourself in one area you will start to see nuances in the problems and how the test writers approach a topic. Suddenly mastery is obtained. Now move on to your next weakest MCAT topic.

MCAT Score Not Improving - Do This. Pivot to your lowest scoring section. Find the content/topic area that is hardest for you. Then laser focus on this area to the exclusion of all other MCAT topics. Study and do back to back problems on your weakest performing area.

If you’ve spent the last two plus years sacrificing to become a doctor now is not the time to leave things to chance. Hope and a prayer is not a winning strategy for becoming a doctor.

The internet connects you with the rarest of cases where the most unlikely of premeds is shouting from the rooftop look at me if I can get in then so can you. However they are the exception to the rule.

You’re not getting into medical school. I remember taking Organic Chemistry at Harvard Summer School and the teaching fellow would gloat, “No medical school. No surgery. No millions. All down the drain.”

If not there's work to be done and having some humility to admit you don't know what you don't know could actually fast track your way to actually becoming a doctor.

You have to ask yourself does your application truly outshine the competition and make the case of why you should be admitted over the other 9,850 other premeds?

An observation that will keep you out of medical school. Often times I will speak to a premedical student who on outward appearances seems to be doing all the correct things to be a strong candidate for medical school.
