(long tweet warning) It is vital to know why limiting principles exist before removing them. For example, there are Starbursts in the reception desk candy dish. I love Starbursts and would snag some from the candy dish at least once, usually twice a day. A few weeks ago, I decided that I, an adult capable of providing for my own needs, would buy my own bag of Starbursts to keep in my office for my consumption instead of taking them from the receptionist candy dish.
