We teach all our @DofE participants how to call for help in an emergency, as part of our emergency procedure training. If you’re ill/injured, know how to call Mountain Rescue: 999>Police>MRT. Asking for an ambulance can cause delay in getting help to you 🚑

This #FridayRoundup we’re recognising our DofE Leaders ✨ 🧭 Andy Mann took 26 Explorers from @RomfordScouts on Expedition. Andy says, “The weekend was all the better for working with a great team of leaders.” 🎂 DofE Volunteer Lou Warren recently celebrated her teammate Martyn Lawrenson’s 40th year of service for the DofE during a Expedition weekend in the Lake District with lots of cake! ⛺ Staff from @DofELeesBrook1 had a fantastic weekend in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. They walked part of their Silver Expedition route and have built up a very close team. 💜 Without the support of DofE Leaders and volunteers there would be no DofE! So, a massive thank you for everything you do!

We are leaving the Peak District now and expect to be back at school for around 10:00am. Students need to help unpack the van then will be free to leave 👍

We ended yesterday with an optional night walk to Stanage Pole, the border of Derbyshire and Yorkshire. Students had a great time and enjoyed the night views across Sheffield, and walking into Yorkshire for a few minutes! Even had a go at putting up a group shelter 👍🙂🔦
