Another reason why I was upset about the jabber thing is because ive gone through alot of similar experiences with similar mindsets and it feels wrong to me that it can be described as "being a free spirit" when it literally ruined my life to be that way

in my experience in 15 years of fandom, when a ship is too canon & too perfect, there’s very little impetus for ppl to write for it. when a ship is absolutely doomed af, it spawns an unbelievable amount of desperate fix-it fics from fans trying to patch the hole in their heart.

i think a lot of people, esp those entering fandom/shipping spaces for the first time, need to hear this: canon ships are not by default the most popular ship, nor 'deserve' to be. that is not how fandom has worked nor will it ever work on that principle. if it did, we wouldn't--

@npdjanka I've seen some people point out that Kei Urana can be a bit unserious, so I'm PRAYING she's just playing a bit to stir us up some. Her story telling is too phenomenal for her to just say Jabber is Just Like That so I'm trying to hold out hope. I'm gonna be real mad if its not </3

Until I see it on paper that jabber has a perfectly normal childhood I won't believe it. I refuse to believe that such a meaningful character would have such a 2 dimensional backstory... it would be such a disservice and I genuinely have a lot of faith in uranas storytelling

I'd like to believe Urana is just messing with us, cus nearly all the characters we know have something going on to explain the way they are. It's hard to believe Jabber's got nothing, especially since he plays quite a big role in the story
