Tejas Mk2 will have roughly 1/4th (approx. 25%) of the frontal RCS of the Tejas Mk1, with estimations placing it in the 0.1 m² to 0.2 m² range🤯 Despite the Mk2 being physically larger, the design incorporates refined shaping, S-shaped air intakes (which hide the engine compressor blades), and 90% composite airframes. The Mk1 already has a low frontal RCS (around ~0.5 m²). Cutting that further brings the clean-configuration Mk2 into the range of far more expensive fighters like the Rafale, allowing for better "ghosting" of enemy radar. Tejas Mk2 will be one of the most capable 4.5-gen fighters in the world, specifically optimized for stealth-conscious, medium-weight requirements. The main focus will be on maintaining this low RCS when carrying weapons (as external payloads increase signature) and timely induction. What do you think?👀🤔
