@DojoVader369 @Drwhales_ My experience with poor pay wasn't more than year and some months. You need to own your career and be conscious about it. Don't get relaxed.

People are obsessing over those Graduate trainee roles. Almost like if they don’t get GT roles they won’t make anything out of their career. There’s so much to do outside structured GT job adverts.

@DojoVader369 @Cruise_Auditor Even some big companies dont do those flowery GT roles. There are opportunities that may not been in that manner. People need to be able to knock

@Cruise_Auditor @Drwhales_ But you'll have to deal with the poor pay initially. Maybe for like a minimum of 3 years, to build relevant experience.

@Drwhales_ Swears. I didn't go through the GT route and I am so grateful I didn't waste time chasing it. For example as an accountant, you can start in a small consulting firm, build experience and go to the Big 4 as an experienced hire. Not everyone will make it through the GT route.

@Drwhales_ It's the only way to earn well at the entry level in Nigeria. The pay for other paths is really terrible. That's why people fuss over it.

The level of discipline required to do this is mind blowing, and it's something I'm scared I don't have🤦

After graduating from university and shortly before NYSC, I curated a curriculum drawing from MIT OpenCourseWare, a free resource that includes MIT undergraduate courses. I knew there were gaps in the education I received from a public university in Nigeria and wanted to bridge that gap. The MIT courses felt way too advanced and I used Coursera and Edx to learn similar topics. My focus was mainly on philosophy and economics. I sort of created a bachelors degree curriculum that had a mix of both disciplines with special focus on the core courses, not electives. I could not afford to pay for the courses on Coursera and EDX so I had to audit them. I remember taking a course from The University of Pennsylvania and I really enjoyed the statistics and probability sections. This led me to University of London's probability theory course: 'Probability and Statistics: To p or not to p?' I noticed my math was rusty since the last time I did any math at all was in high school. I took math courses on Cousera too. The course I enjoyed the most was Introduction to Logic and Critical Thinking from Duke University. I kept taking courses for almost 3 years. I also self-studied to pass ICAN foundational level exams, bought GMAT and GRE courses on Udemy and passed KPMG GT exam at the time when it was one sitting only. Of course I could not afford to pay for those Udemy courses alone, I had to split the bill with two other guys who are now in PwC and KPMG. @SirJarus does not know this, but Jarus Hub was a very good resource back in the day 😂 I still remember literally memorising 4 years past questions while I was writing graduate trainee exams. I learned a technique to answer math questions quickly by not trying to solve for the exact answer, but by eliminating options that were outside the range of a possible answer. Those questions were crazy. You had 50 minutes to answer 60 questions, most of which were math and logical reasoning questions. In those 50 minutes, you are also expected to read a short essay and answer comprehension questions 😂 It did not matter what I did in the end, I was never going to settle for average. I’ve worked so hard to get here just to do normal things. The results have to justify the effort, and anything short of the extraordinary is unacceptable.

@Benn_X1 Studied Mathematics in university, and there's a massive gap in my knowledge. Had to just cram to pass, and now after graduating; I'm relearning everything from scratch and I'm doing way better.

Not only bagged, he went on to become one of their best recruits ever. And became the fastest employee to rise from entry level to partner (highest level). Imagine if they had discriminated against HND when he applied. They would have missed a star employee.
Beylincon@a_cubic

So, there’s so much for HND holders if they could press further…🤔 indeed, this administration rewards excellence. And if @taiwoyedele could bag @PwC_Nigeria Job with HND, I’m impressed and inspired 🙌🏾✨✌🏽😎

The rich are only marrying the rich. But one Nigerian broke girl is manifesting a billionaire husband. "Awon positive thinking, dream big, and power in the tongue." She will rather maintain her wishful thinking and imagination than settle down with her boyfriend at the same level as her and work hard to build themselves. Or, better still, build her life and aim for the man she desires. She thinks it is by wearing a crop top on big boobs and leggings on Geepee tank ass, oversized crocs and waving her iPhone XR. Anyway, reality always has a way of doing its thing.

The highest thing this girl can ever give him is sex. And many times it will be disgruntled sex. We've not even factored miscellaneous billings and dates. Since it will be sex he will be getting from her why not expand his coast. With 500k monthly, he can be able to have sex with at least 10 - 30 women per month depending on the quality of the model. To be sincere, you men are just being stupid. Women are not even really gaming you, they are just capitalizing on your ignorance and foolishness.
