The verdict, 4 months later:

@Aelthemplaer I wonder just how strange the all-white neoclassical buildings of the middle ages and later would look to an actual roman. I like to think it would not look "alien" to them, just odd, or perhaps a bit bland or tacky

Expanding on this, Roman frescoes depicting buildings also show they were painted in earthtones, not technicolor slop. Though the columns did sometimes have nice colors to stand out.

Fun fact. There are Roman frescoes that depict Roman statues. So we actually know the paint wasn't technicolor slop. It was very modest and realistic.

@Tom_Rowsell Iirc the helmet shape also arrived there from the steppes, as it also did (independently i think) for the romans. Alongside lamellar and scale armor.
The Goths were probably quite important in that transmission, living near the sarmatians.

This reconstructed garment is actually based on the depictions of steppe influenced clothing on the Wodenic horned spear dancers depicted on the Sutton Hoo helm.
Such kaftans may have been copied from steppe folk with whom Germanic people also shared a musical culture. The lyre from Sutton Hoo is the same type used on the Eurasian steppe.
Some elements of pagan Germanic culture would seem Oriental to us now.

I forgot how much chemistry Bail and Mon had, and rewatching this made me wonder about their relationship/backstory. It’s the first time it occurred to me that Bail is maybe the only person Mon has trusted since Day 1. That “I just can’t go with you… not yet” is so charged.

This was either group suicide or murder.
I've been diving for 30 years. Rescue and deep dive certified. These divers were effectively dead the moment they went in the water.
At 150 feet, with recreational gear and without special gas mix, you're already dead.
I'm an absolute madman adrenaline junkie. My hard floor is 120 feet. There was no possible way they were coming back, whether they panicked or not. That dive plan was never going to end with any of them alive.

This arena battle was the most horrendous military operation ever conceived. Hundreds of Jedi killed in mere minutes, barely any survivors, and not a single Separatist leader captured. Easy to see why the overconfident Jedi were so easily hoodwinked by Palpatine. Total buffoonery

This whole chain of events from the Death Star leak, the Rebels attacking Scariff and stealing the Death Star plans, the Senate abolished and Alderaan destroyed, and the Death Star itself then getting destroyed all happened within like 2 weeks. Embarassing time to be Palpatine

A year ago, Andor completed its final act. Some of the best acting in Star Wars shows happened in these three episodes. In the interrogation scene, Krennic placing his finger on Dedra’s head wasn’t in the Andor S2 script. Ben Mendelsohn improvised it.

Has the fact that the Death Star was designed by Geonosians ever been referenced again outside of Episode II? Nothing about its architecture or technology looks anything like what the Geonosians had. What was Galen Erso needed for if it had already been designed?

Watto only implies that he's familiar with mind tricks and that his species is immune to them. But he apparently thinks that encountering a Jedi is so unlikely that he doesn't even consider that Qui-Gon might actually be one. This is funny because it implies this is just something some asshole will walk in and try to do once in a while.
