Mr. Morale is a fictional character... He was the personification of the "flawless/good morals" the media and rap fans had characterized him with up until that point; hence, the crown of thorns on the album cover, which doubles as a physical attribute of being a "savior" for his community, and the album's name itself. Which is why the project received mixed reviews from critics and listeners who weren't expecting "Mr. Morale" to be the one to say he's trifled with the dynamics of sexuality, gender identity, toxic masculinity, and its consequences on the Black family structure, the way that money changes you, infidelity, and ego. All of the things someone would see as "morally corrupt." His outfits and storytelling imagery for that era/album further portrayed the character by intentionally being super polished and high-fashion aligned. Would he still be seen as being of "good character," if Mr. Morale dressed down more or wore streetwear? His outfits of that era upheld the image of what is largely assumed to be a good, well-groomed "perfect man", which at its core is fashion psychology. #onmen

Kendrick Lamar sends birthday wishes to 2TEEZ's son and gives a shoutout to his baseball team 🎂 "What up y'all, it's Kendrick Lamar..."
