Earlier today, I arrived in Cape Town, South Africa, to take part in the Spier Dialogue 2026, an important event centred on the future of Africa and the urgent challenges facing our continent and the globe. The Spier Dialogue occurs at a crucial time as Africa grapples with significant issues in governance, democracy, economic inclusion, urbanisation, migration, and leadership. However, it also highlights the vast opportunities presented by the energy and creativity of our young population. As leaders and stakeholders gather from various regions, I look forward to partaking in insightful discussions, especially as I have the privilege of addressing attendees tomorrow on policies geared toward growth. Africa’s future should not be characterised by poverty amid abundance or by division instead of development. It is time for us to transition from consumption to production, from divisive politics to politics built on competence and compassion, and from mere promises to tangible progress that serves everyday citizens. Upon my arrival, I had the opportunity to meet with the Nigerian community in Cape Town for a heartfelt discussion about the recent challenges affecting African expatriates in South Africa, resulting in over two hours of fruitful dialogue. I remain dedicated to advocating for a New Nigeria and a New Africa—one where governance genuinely serves the people, where the youth are equipped with education and opportunities, and where leadership is founded on integrity, service, and sacrifice. A New Nigeria POssible. -PO

Sad news: FG not Tinubu has completed approvals, certifications and compliance process from @icrcng for five proposed deep-seaports for investment and implementation. 2: the deep sea ports are: -(a): Badagry Deep Sea Port, Lagos state. -(b): Olokola Deep Sea Port, Ogun/Ondo states. -(c): Ibom Deep Sea port, Akwa Ibom (Well done @Senator_Akpabio for your support). -(d): Bakassi Deep sea Port, Cross River State. -(e): Bonny Deep sea Port (funding constraints and PPP stage passed) Rivers state. 3: Tinubu is creating jobs with this approval. Direct and indirect. 4: our neighboring countries will also benefit and that means $$$ inflow.

This is painful, but it’s a lesson to young South African ladies… soft life doesn’t come easy. At just 31 years old, her life changed completely after getting involved with her foreign boyfriend now she looks 85💔💔

@JacintaNgobese It doesn’t take a minute to verify your status anywhere in the world , stop displaying your 30% pass rate here…… stop mixing up verification process to application process….. you will need to go back to school like your dudula counterpart.

It’s more than that. This album was also a trial for what’s possible without label backing. He was setting himself up for his upcoming deal. Proof of concept basically.
The Angryman@AngrymanChannel

Drake spent over $10 million out of pocket on this album. Let that sink in. No label safety net. His money. His bet. His name on the line. And now he's sitting at the top of the charts. Some of y'all need to take notes on what accountability actually looks like.

LMAO I didn’t want to digress but there’s so many scammers in CPT. Yahoo boys use girls to apply for and take apartment/house leases in their name. The girls open bank accounts and the card stays with the yahoo 😩 They accept international bank transfers + bribe bankers @6uhle

Alternatively, if you have not met the requirements to travel to Europe, America, or Australia, South Africa is another nearby destination where you can enjoy almost similar facilities in those countries. A few years ago, I visited a friend in South Africa, and we drove from Pretoria to Johannesburg without experiencing even the smallest pothole. That was about an hour-plus drive, the roads were so smooth that they looked like pathways to heaven. When we arrived at his home in Sandton, Straight Estate we didn’t need to step out of the car to open the gate or even honk for security. My friend simply pressed a button from inside the car, and the estate gate opened automatically. We also experienced about seven hours of rainfall, but after the rain stopped, I stepped outside and it barely felt like it had rained. There was no stagnant water anywhere; every part was as clean and clear as daylight. The most fascinating experience was visiting a Montecasino built several layers deep underground, just like the underground car in Maryland mall, but this way deeper to the ground in height, It was like an entirely different world. Phones were not allowed, and some people had lived there for years. South Africa is truly a place where you can enjoy life, and honestly, Nigeria should be in that position. Unfortunately, we have not been very lucky with responsible leadership. Sometimes traveling opens your eyes to the kind of country your own nation could have been.

Have you ever visited another African country and felt that Nigeria should actually be doing better than them, yet they are far ahead of us in infrastructural development?

**Yes, he is allowed to legally run a business.** If he received a refugee ID/permit (Section 24 under the Refugees Act) in 2005, he is a recognized refugee—not a pending asylum seeker. South African law (Refugees Act s27(f)), the Constitution (dignity and equality), and the 2014 Supreme Court of Appeal ruling (Somali Association case) confirm that lawfully present refugees and asylum seekers with valid permits can seek employment **and** self-employment, including applying for business/trading licences like spaza shops. No blanket prohibition exists for recognized refugees. Asylum seeker (Section 22) permits have tighter recent work endorsement rules, but long-term refugee status since 2005 protects these rights. He must still comply with all other business regulations.
