@cardiffcouncil Can we please standardise the colour of cycle ways, none of this sometimes blue, sometimes green, sometimes bare tarmac. Besides being confusing, it’s absolutely hideous. Take a leaf out of the Netherlands urban design book.

Cardiff Parkway was first proposed in 2012, announced in 2017 (due to open in 2020), again announced in 2019 (to open in 2022), it was pushed back several times between 2020 and 2024, received planning permission in January 2025 and now in February 2026 it’s been announced again!

Merlin failed to retain their engineering and maintenance staff by choosing to continue to pay uncompetitive wages, leading to poor attraction availability and slashing capacity. Merlin failed to invest in additional attraction capacity. But blame disabled people!

With Merlin U-turning on RAP its important to realise.. Attraction operations, capacity & reliability have been in crisis for several years, causing a queuing & satisfaction disaster. **Merlin made the business decision to attack disabled guests as a scapegoat for this**
