Not defending Southampton’s actions. But there’s several things wrong in what Troy Deeney is saying here, factually. The main one being Southampton haven’t beat Boro this season. Deeney suggesting Saints won twice. Under Eckert, lost 4-0 and drew 0-0 🤷🏻‍♂️

@DomTate2 @RF08 1st half when we misplaced passes the team were encouraged to win it back or if a pass not shot were clapped for the attempt. Second half that was replaced with “get off you useless cunt” or “fuck off you’re shite”. And that was while we were still 1-0 up! So yeah, toxic 2nd half

30,000 fans gave the team absolutely everything… for 45 minutes. Second half the fans were as shambolic as the team, especially from about 65 mins on when @RF08 reverted to singing their own 3-4 shite songs that nobody joins in with & everyone booing touches / shouting abuse.

@DomTate2 @RF08 Yes, and the fans have contributed to that by adding ridiculous pressure. Jeering and booing misplaced passes, passes instead of shots etc. WE have become toxic. First half yesterday the fans were brilliant & so were the team. Second half was the opposite for both imo.

Crowd were brilliant today…….until the equaliser. A school report would probably say “must do better” I guess many saw how the half was evolving but at times noise can swing the game back in your favour. Millwall got too comfortable. A good half time talk and tweaks from Neil
