#OnSuffering&Growth
Human beings are inherently prone to inertia; laziness is a fundamental human sin. In physics, there is a corresponding concept known as "entropy increase." If one does not actively organize their own resources (including energy, time, attention, etc.), an individual's state will drift toward disorder—what we commonly refer to as "chaos."
For me personally, the realization that laziness brings suffering came only when the "compound interest" of negative feedback—accumulated from small, conscious or unconscious daily neglects—led to a massive life disaster (a crisis in family finances and my marital relationship). This in itself proves I am not a wise or clever person; from the perspective of detecting a crisis early and taking initiative to solve it, one could even say I was foolish. After enduring all the pain alone, I finally realized that there is no way to be saved other than through one's own proactive actions. As expressed in Siddhartha: "No one is coming."
This marks the beginning of resolutely, actively, and soberly taking up personal responsibility after experiencing deep despair and endless pain. The TV series Shameless woke me up: if you want to achieve something and find your true self, you must actively seek out and shoulder responsibility. The unknown is no longer a source of fear; instead, it is an invitation to embrace challenges. One of the states I enjoy most now is experiencing unexpected or disappointing life events with the mindset of a "participant observer."
If you are currently trapped in a difficult situation, please believe in yourself. Everything happening now is simply to help you become who you are meant to be.
