"We've been telling ourselves a story that undermines what it means to be a Canadian." CEO @EliotPence launched Dominion to change the country. But in doing so, he also wants to reshape the narrative of what it means to be Canadian today. In a wide-ranging conversation, Eliot spoke with @BetaKit's Doug Soltys (@tron) about Canadian ambition, building a systems integrator in Canada, the roadblocks Canadian defence companies still face, and the path that brought him home after two decades abroad.

Canada is home to hundreds of abandoned airfields that are unmaintained and unguarded. Austin, one of our robotics engineers, created a remote-controlled, autonomous platform that can restore surveillance and maintenance. ⬇️

Building an eye in the sky. Bella, one of our electrical engineers, is currently testing a flexible sensor suite for Specter, Dominion’s tactical tethered aerostat. The data from that sensor suite feeds into AuraNet, linking what’s overhead to the people making decisions on the ground. Pan-domain command and control, from the sensor to the operator. Tomorrow, it’s going for a test flight.

Every day, our engineers build, test, and field new capabilities. An example from this week: In a side-by-side, we decoded CAN bus data at the edge and streamed it into AuraNet, our flagship software platform. This is a new data source that lives in the COP, delivering remote vehicle health monitoring. That's the kind of systems integration we're building, ready to scale. In extreme environments, asset health is operational readiness.

The first 365 days of Dominion Dynamics. From one person with a mission to a team of 50.
