A bigger bag helps. It doesn't guarantee the crown. Influence Points in Dominion grow logarithmically. A wallet with 100× more stake earns only about 1.5× more daily IP. Money gets you a seat at the table. Power still has to be earned.

Update #2 is live in Dominion. 👑 The longer a king reigns, the weaker their crown gets - that was always true, but now everyone can see it. A live vulnerability bar sits next to the ruler's name at the top of the screen, filling from green to a pulsing ember as the throne becomes easier to take. No more guessing when to strike. The bar tells you.

In Dominion, power starts with work. Gather wood, ore, fish, grain, and goods. Sell them for points → buy businesses → build passive income → outgrow everyone else. Every season, 15 businesses go up for auction. Own the right one, and it pays you every income tick.

I built this for the EasyA hackathon. It's called Dominion - a multiplayer strategy game where 100 real players enter one medieval world and fight for a single throne. The world runs 24/7. You go offline, the game keeps going without you. The entry loop is simple: gather resources, build passive income, grow your reputation. But the deeper you go, the more it becomes about politics. Becoming king isn't enough - you have to hold power, keep taxes reasonable, and not lose the Council's support. The Council is a separate layer. $DOM token holders vote every day on events that shift the economy for everyone: gold rush, drought, civil war. They also decide who gets crowned. Players know this - so they start playing not just against each other, but for the Council's attention. Every season ends, the world resets, and everything starts over with a new map and a new history. Tech stack: Bun + Fastify, SQLite, WebSockets, React frontend, Solana integration. Anyone can become king. Build your reputation to 30, declare your candidacy, earn the Council's backing and finally get crowned. Then the real game begins. Set taxes → issue a decree → pardon an ally → banish a rival. Power never comes for free.
