If South Africa is a lawless state, then it should be lawless for everyone. It cannot be that bylaws are strictly enforced on citizens, with threats of fines and charges, while the undocumented can occupy spaces and trade freely.

The problem with SA discourse: when a man from kasi says migrants are affecting his dignity and livelihood, the response isn't 'let's engage that seriously.' It's 'you're xenophobic' or 'you're being manipulated.' That's not debate. That's dismissal dressed up as intellect.

Lead, wena Nontsikelelo. Stop barking orders from your place of comfort and go to the front yourself. March to the suburbs. Don’t sit safely on the sidelines, playing commander while others take the risks.
NtsikiMazwaiMedia@ntsikimazwai

These marches need to be averted to affluent areas because why should the minority rich be comfortable when the majority is suffering. These marches should go to Houghton, Hyde Park, Sandhurst, Stein City….. Not the poor fighting the poor.

You work at Deloitte so you don’t have to worry about losing your job to a foreigner willing to take a 50% pay-cut. This is something the waiter at your favourite restaurant has to deal with. This is what the construction worker next to your office park has to deal with. The car guard outside “Pantry” has to deal with this. It’s not a coincidence that many of these jobs are taken by foreigners. You live in a gated community with 24-hour surveillance so you can sleep peacefully at night. You don’t live in central Joburg next to buildings hijacked by foreigners that house drug dealers/users and criminals. You buy your fresh food at Woolies so you rarely have to worry about your food being spoiled. Your child isn’t sick because they bought repackaged rotten food at the Somalian spaza shop down the road. This is why I’ve been enjoying the content from the digital nomads infiltrating Cape Town. You didn’t see an issue when poor people were complaining about the effects of mass-immigration. But now that your favourite coffee spot is charging you R70 for a latte and your rent has almost doubled—now the “government has to do something” 😂 That’s why it’s very important for you to shut TF up if you come from a place of privilege.

It’s always so interesting to watch people comment on corruption across partisan lines. All of a sudden, “the Minister is not involved in procurement of textbooks”, but Angie Motshekga was the face of undelivered textbooks for years.

Not the R60 billion we lose annually and violence we face from zama zamas which are estimated to be 80% foreigners? Not the R11 million we spend on 24 000 foreign prisoners daily? Not the billions they owe us in health care fees? With Lesotho alone owing the country R145 million alone? Not the R1 billion we lose annually because of ID fraud in South Africa? Not the incredibly high number of foreign nationals involved in violent crimes across south africa when we’re already over burdened? Not the 20+ reported children that died in a span of 3 months from poisoned food bought from foreign owned shops? Not the well studied and researched dominance Nigerians have in the Cocaine trade and Tanzanians have in the heroin trade in South Africa? Not the cross border hijacking market that required us to build an entire wall to stop cars stolen in SA going to Mozambique? Not the fact that reports found 15-39% of patients being undocumented in 66 clinics used for research? Stick to misandry please uthetha ikaka✋🏾

I also blame unemployment and poverty for this rise in xenophobic attacks.

You go into someone’s nation after they welcomed you and you pollute their society and destroy innocent people lives and play victim card. And rest of Africa tells you the victim, you are wrong and Africa wants to tell you how to save your and society nation. “Pan African” will never discuss this part . #Shame ! Youth of Africa! Be on the right side of history. ✌🏿

Hello Einstein. I love that you think Trump's America cares about you and your country, Zimbabwe. But here is a brief history lesson: It is South Africa that has lobbied the US to drop sanctions against Zimbabwe. Under George W. Bush, America passed the Zimbabwe Democracy and Economic Recovery Act (ZDERA). Thabo Mbeki lobbied aggressively against this. Zuma continued where Mbeki left off. Ramaphosa also pushed this as one of his agenda items in his last meeting with Biden. The result? Well, in 2024, the USA adjusted and refined the original legislation. South Africa's case to the USA, ON BEHALF OF ZIMBABWE - because YOUR leaders could not travel - was that sanctions on Zimbabwe are counterproductive as they weaken the REGION and affect ordinary citizens more than politicians. Under Ramaphosa, RSA supported SADC's anti-sanctions initiative AND made this a bilateral issue with the USA. The strategy was that it should not just be South Africa advocating for your country, but the entire region. PS - I love a good debate. I enjoy it when someone with sound research and knowledge pushes back against me. It is always such a disappointment when my opponent is ill-informed.

@thenihiin If you guys don't see this for what it is, he has you're clearly blind. He was fine with exploring the girl as an option, but the minute that he seen her verbally demean the man next to him he knew it was his job to embarrass her as well right or wrong he stood on business.
