By far the worst teacher (my only B+) I encountered in grad school was for a Multivariate Analysis Course. But, he choose a great text book, and I used that knowledge throughout my career. see pearson.com/us/higher-educ…

Editorial: There seem to be two major purposes for writing about online distance education: One is about bringing research to practice, while the other, scholarly research, is about exploring questions emerging or aligned to previous research. @kshattuck

@misc_nerd More importantly, don't assume universities are teaching undergraduates and some masters' level students research methodology. Forty years ago to earn a bachelor's degree in European history I had to take a research course, conduct the research and write a 60 page paper.

An excellent point to remember! I had no idea about research methods when I first started my graduate studies, and even less idea about how to craft a journal article when I started my #PhD.
