Becoming abundantly clear that Manchester United simply had to walk away from the deal because their priorities changed, rather than the concern with Ederson's meniscus. What is bizarre though is the English media's lack of coverage, radio silence from the vast majority. Everything is coming from Italian sources. Nobody local seems to be getting anything out of the club. The Athletic's DealSheet will be an interesting read.

Tchouameni getting €450k/~£400k per week before tax (€250k, £215k net/after tax), fair play. I am sad obviously that the risk of going after him didn't come off, but glad the Tchouameni situation did not become a saga & drawn out into August. Manchester United wanted to sign him but he wanted to stay at Real Madrid, so we & they have to move on. Andrey Santos was a curveball this week, so I wonder if there are names we don't know about yet. There might need to be. The midfield facilitates how Michael Carrick will want the team to play, it's the most vital part of this summer. We saw today how the club pivoted from Mateus Fernandes & being blown out of the water by Spurs' fee & wages, now we wait on the next move to come.
