You see life, time and chance matter a lot. Arteta has been consistent for about three years now, finishing 2nd and building one of the best teams in the league, yet people still overlooked him for Manager of the Season even in years where you can argue he deserved it. But now that he’s finally won the league, the same work people ignored before is being fully appreciated.
That’s football sometimes trophies change narratives instantly. The process may already be so good, the coaching may already be top class, but until you get that final achievement, many people won’t give full credit. Once the trophy comes, everything people doubted before suddenly becomes “greatness.”
It also shows how thin the margins are in football. One season can completely reshape how a manager, player, or team is remembered. If Arsenal had fallen short again, people would still push the “almost team” narrative, but now the exact same project is viewed differently because there’s silverware attached to it.
That’s why patience matters in football. Sometimes the work is already there long before the rewards finally arrive. Glad Arteta is reaping his own reward.

While I don’t agree with every tantrum our legends throw at our players, going through the timeline shows most football Twitter accounts only started watching football recently. Comparing Bruno’s influence to players who actually won major trophies for this club isn’t just crazy it proves you know nothing about football… With Bruno, Manchester United have won just one FA Cup and one Carabao Cup… while finishing in our worst positions in club history. And don’t say it’s because of bad players... Manchi played alongside Degea, Pogba, Mata, Cavani, Ronaldo, Martial,Greenwood, Rashford, Shaw, Varane, Maguire, McTominay and many more at the top level…. We called them the problem… Those same “problem” players left the club and went on to win major trophies elsewhere... Meanwhile, the one who “isn’t the problem” lost back-to-back Europa League finals with terrible performances in both finale. Stat-wise Bruno is Elite, but football is beyond numbers... So far he has done nothing special for Manchester United…. He deserves the criticism no one is beyond it…. Even Messi and Ronaldo still get it till date… If anyone says Bruno needs to win major trophies to be regarded as one of the best in Manchester United’s history, they are 100% right...

“The Premier League panel needs to look at themselves and investigate how that Bruno Fernandes 'assist' was allowed to stand. It was a shot from Patrick Korgi that took a massive deflection off the goalkeeper it’s a clear own goal, not a Fernandes assist.
To award that as a goal creation is a total disrespect to the art of midfield play. It’s an insult to real playmakers like Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, who spend their entire careers mastering the perfect pass, the perfect vision, and the perfect weight of ball.
Bruno should not be allowed to scam his way into a prestigious award like this. Statistics are ruining the integrity of the game if we are rewarding luck over genuine quality. The panel has to fix this."
