@aaron_renn It is a great formula. Here is an idea, slash the state workforce by 20%, take 10% give it to the remaining employees, and the rest to the taxpayers. Indiana's government has grown 40% since 2019, 15% over inflation.

The state of Indiana has a $5 billion surplus, but in an inflationary environment hasn't given raises to its employees in two years. This isn't exactly a formula for attracting high quality talent into state government. insideindianabusiness.com/articles/its-o…

Affordability is the top kitchen table concern for Hoosier families. I appointed a new majority to the IURC and a new consumer advocate to take on high energy costs and ensure utilities provide service at just and reasonable rates.  Today they will be questioning the five largest investor owned electric utilities on energy affordability, including how usage and rates lead to bills, the impact of growth on affordability, and steps that can be taken in the short term to lower rising energy costs. I will continue fighting to protect ratepayers and bring down the cost of energy for Hoosier families.

@jstewartIndy The government solution to the problem is often worse than the problem itself. What else gets a moratorium? End all taxpayer subsidies for data centers. They foot the whole bill. It is better than a moratorium, it protects freedom and the taxpayer.

We need a federal data center moratorium.

@jstewartIndy Yes we are, but also remember we are now switching from winter blend to summer blend and that also causes a 30-45 cent increase in spring and fall. Good news is the summer gas has more BTU's so you get better gas mileage.

@jstewartIndy @indystar We can stop them at a local level. Just make them pay for infostructure, no tax breaks, and a premium on electricity to offset price increases on residential customers. Federal government is corrupt and will just be paid off.

Parenting in this country in the black community has dramatically changed since the 1960s and 1970s, with the breakdown of the black family structure. Teen Takeovers would not have happened in the 1960s and 1970s because our parents and the community would not have tolerated them.
