Atiku Abubakar is poised to win the primaries . Rotimi Ameachi has put up a decent and good fight . But Atiku will likely be the nominee of the ADC . Direct primaries is nonsense without technology also being adopted in accreditation and also voting. They are just allocating numbers as votes. Indirect primaries is still better despite it flaws

Rivers Politics : The emergence of former Degema/Bonny House of Representatives member, Dr. Farah Dagogo, as winner of the ADC Rivers governorship primaries is a development many consider encouraging. What makes him appealing to some observers is the manner in which he carries himself—with restraint, confidence, dignity, and political composure. Before the 2023 governorship contest, Farah Dagogo openly declared his ambition at a time many aspirants were hesitant. He reportedly defied political pressure from Nyesom Wike by personally traveling to Abuja to obtain his nomination form when others were allegedly instructed not to do so. That led to his arrest by the then-Gov. Nyesom Wike under the shield of executive immunity, an action many interpreted as political intimidation aimed at excluding him from the screening process; he returned without surrendering his political identity or dignity. Unlike several others, particularly Ojukaye Flag Amachree, who was locked in Port Harcourt Prison, later aligned in total submission to the former governor Wike. Dagogo maintained his independence, focused on his business interests, and avoided transactional politics that often erode personal integrity and worth. That's some guts, strong political/ideological discipline, and will; Farah Dagogo has what it takes to be Governor of Rivers State. H.E. Rotimi Amaechi should shred his ego because Rivers State is in dire need of a viable alternative who wouldn't want Nyesom Wike's food or money.
