"Don't be deterred by their threats to rig elections. This time, our votes must count. If it doesn't count, those who refuse count it, we will count them." - Peter Obi on 2027 elections.

While Atiku and Amaechi are struggling for the ticket in one of ADC's factions, Peter Obi is in Abuja hosting a dinner with NDC aspirants. Rest of mind. No unnecessary spending of dollars on primaries. Just pure focus on the general election. In this life, work smart and not hard.

This is not a car market — this is Kwankwaso house located at Miller Road, Bompai, Kano. Without doubt, Nigeria has rarely seen a politician with such a genuine political structure and loyal grassroots movement like Kwankwaso. Our prayer is that by 2027, Allah grants him the position of Vice President of Nigeria, and by 2031, President of Nigeria — so he can fully implement the good vision and leadership he carries in his heart, in peace and prosperity. Amin.

As a photographer, I have learned that the most powerful people are often those who understand people, culture and history beyond the camera moments. Being part of Peter Obi’s envoy to South Africa gave me the opportunity to witness that firsthand. Listening to him speak about his long-standing relationship with South Africa, from his early business engagements with South African Breweries, to witnessing Nelson Mandela’s release from prison, and living in the same neighborhood at the time with Mandela, showed a man who genuinely understands the importance of relationships, diplomacy and African unity. What stood out the most was his belief in what Africa can become if we begin to work together intentionally as one continent. Conversations like these make you understand what his kind of presidency would mean for Nigeria, stronger economic partnerships, better international respect, healthier relationships across Africa, and a country that is once again seen as a serious and trusted voice on the global stage. For me, it was more than a trip. It was a reminder that leadership is also about experience, exposure, relationships and the ability to connect Nigeria to bigger opportunities across the world. #NigeriaWillBeOk

If Peter Obi is considered a threat to Northern Nigeria, then Atiku Abubakar was the one who first introduced him to us in 2019 to be his running mate. — Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo

Peter Obi polled over 6 million votes in the last general election under a relatively unpopular party, with barely any elected political structure behind him. Kwankwaso dismantled the APC machinery in Kano and singlehandedly produced a governor, two senators, and several state and National Assembly members under another relatively unpopular platform. Yet, to some Atiku supporters, none of this seems to matter. According to them, these two politicians with obvious grassroots strength should simply abandon their ambitions and rally behind someone who believes he alone can return power to the opposition. Almost as if it is some sort of divine political arrangement that it must be him or nothing else. Tell me a more self-serving political propaganda than what they are currently pushing, and I’ll wait while being OK.

Just concluded the meeting with the team from Netflix as I round up work on my book documenting the true events of the Lekki Massacre, alongside discussions around a possible film adaptation. Also citing the outstanding and courageous work of Stephanie Busari and John Luka of CNN whose incredible journalistic work, trust, and investigative reporting in our story led to Emmy nominations, including recognition for Outstanding Research in News. Their work helped ensure the voices and evidence from Lekki Massacre were seen and heard around the world. It is left to us to preserve the truth, honour the voices that were silenced, and ensure history is never rewritten by those who fear accountability. History would always vindicate the just.
