If you can sacrifice 2-3 months of your salary for rent, that’s 300k to 450k. With this amount, you can get a self contain (rent, not total package) at places like Ikorodu, Ekoro, Meiran, Igando. PS: The house might be far to major bus stop. But na still Lagos. We currently pay 600k for a mini flat at Meiran, and it’s just one Napep to Abule Egba.

People don't know how Fúcked up this is. A certain person I know earns ₦180k monthly. On payday, he is always anxious. Because as soon as the money hits his account: ₦50k goes to rent contributions. ₦30k on foodstuff. ₦20k on transport. ₦30k to support the family. ₦10k on data and subscriptions. ₦15k disappears on small, untracked expenses. Before mid month he is already sourcing for a loan to augment till the end of the month. No major flex. No big purchases. Just life… happening steadily. And on the side, the family is asking...When will you marry

I’m an average Nigerian and my Salary is 250k per month Rent= 1.1mper year Transport =2500 to and fro (keke and danfo) 2500x30 days =75,000 om transport monthly 250k-75k=175k monthly(net after deduction transport) 175k x 6= 1.050m.. I’m saving 6months net salary to pay rent After the whole year I have another 1.050m to cover feeding, clothes, light bills, buy fuel for gen , internet bill and any other emergency that might occur in the whole year(hospital, family and all) Now as a 30yr old male… tell me how he wants to think of starting a family or owning a car?????
