33 years coaching high school football, all at the same school. If I cloud go back to my 21 year old self, I’d tell him to relax. It’s less about X’s and O’s and more about Jimmy’s and Joes. Make practice fun and competitive. Make practice the best part of their day. Celebrate the little wins. Enjoy each day. Someday it will be your last.

Unfortunately in CFB, we have a lot of players getting a bad advice from people they trust.. Coaches/Family/Agents/"Mentors" Sometimes it's from a selfish place, sometimes misinformed, but a lot 30-50 yr olds putting 20 yr olds in bad places & having them make bad decisions..
