No Red Cross records with total camp death tolls exist; The numbers in these documents do not purport to be the total camp or Nazi victim death tolls in the first place nor do they stem from the wartime activities of the Red Cross. The document is originally from the German Special Registry Office and International Tracing Service. The document refers only to the "beurkundeten Sterbefälle" - i.e.  "certified death cases". These figures resulted from applications; If an entire family had died (or never requested), there was no application submitted. Additionally, this documentation was only for two of the twenty-two concentration camps.
