Am i weird for actually enjoying clearing out a load of the volcanic ash in the rocky ridges area in pokopia It's like. So relaxing for me and I've basically ditched the actual story for the area for a little while just to do it, but everyone else seems to hate it lol

@acaciadust Unfortunately it is very very difficult to cover everything on commissions alone, as others have said i think most of us who freelance full time have multiple income streams like selling at cons, patreon, streaming, etsy/kofi/wherever else you can sell printed art, etc etc

How do vgen artists genuinely make the amount of money to be able to pay bills/rent/groceries/stuff for themselves? Vgen is my ONLY income so any tip, advice would be really great. I hate how at the beginning of every month i have to go through the same “i need money so any comms are appreciated”. I hate begging for money, i hate posting about it. But i genuinely have no other choice :( Please dont just say “get a job” cuz i physically cant. Im not allowed to get a job due to my studies and mental health.

@SilfurVT People just paying me to draw their ocs or their ship for them to look at and show their friends and then put up on their wall is, like, at least half of my client base lmao, it's still really common!

Every few months there’s someone arguing with artists about the meaning of personal use, monetised use and commercial use and the extra fees it includes. And I get second hand embarrassment each time. Having to pay a one time fee for either of these two is very generous.
