@Dools0007 @SandyofSuffolk Aw bless you, you too. I think there has just been a huge increase in people seeking diagnosis and coupled with a lack of public information that it’s not something you can just get over or sort out, it’s a brain malfunction. ADHD in adults wasn’t recognised till 2008!

So now Sue Perkins claims to have been diagnosed with ADHD. Every time I open a newspaper or magazine, another 'celeb' pops up claiming they have it too. Are they just attention seekers?

@MarkJHQ @SandyofSuffolk I agree, the same for me too. I was diagnosed in October at the age of 56...the diagnosis and meds have been life-changing. Posts like these show such ignorance and unkindness...what a horrible way to choose to be! I wish you much happiness, Mark.

@SandyofSuffolk 2/2 many of us “ADHD” people have masked our true identities for most of our lives, I put off going to Dr for 2 years because of people like yourself calling people “attention seekers” my life has completely changed for the better since diagnosis and my anxiety improved too

I have a cleaning lady who comes to my house every other week. She's super hardworking, really nice, and I completely trust her. She comes while I'm at work and I get to come home to a clean house! the best feeling. One time she told me she drank a can of Pepsi from my fridge and even asked if she should pay me back. I told her she has my permission to take a break and eat/ drink whatever she needs while she's there. Since then she'll occasionally have a pop, a glass of juice, once she said she had a piece of toast. She's never helped herself to any meals, snacks, or anything beyond that. My bf was over the other night and said he saw my cleaning lady "stealing from the fridge." I told him she wasn't stealing lol she has my permission, and she's definitely not sitting around being lazy. She was taking a break! My bf said it's weird, unprofessional, and that it could lead to boundary crossing. I told him I've known this woman for two years and nothing like that has ever happened. My bf thinks I should fire her before it gets WORSE. I don't understand HIS logic. Am I wrong for thinking: like why change something that's been working perfectly fine? Am I being weird?

@cfs_jo @DrNighatArif I have my uterus, I am 55. Maybe it is different if you are over 60? It's so worth getting a second opinion if you can. Good luck! x

@DrNighatArif @Dools0007 Mine said because I was over 60 and still had a uterus, I would need progesterone patches if I had oestrogen and these could increase my risk of cancer. Despite there being no history in my family at all. I was left to mull it over.

Vaginal Oestrogen for EVERYONE with a Vulva over the age of 45yrs old. Even if NO symptoms for the prevention of GSM LIFELONG.

@Dools0007 @cfs_jo We need to be educating all healthcare professionals about the importance and the updated guidance around low dose vaginal oestrogen and breast cancer patients- I’m on it 💪🏾 Lots of my colleagues are so confident prescribing it

@cfs_jo @DrNighatArif I needed to be referred to a gynaecologist, for the GP to prescribe it, but she said that it is in the NICE guidelines. My GP was reluctant, as I have had oestrogen positive breast cancer. I have been using the pessaries now for a few months and the difference is huge

@DrNighatArif @ljbrameld @jennyeclair Yes they are. I've been prescribed it for recurrent UTI's and I had oestrogen positive bc 12 years ago...game changer!

@ljbrameld @jennyeclair That is not the right advice given to you sadly Breast Cancer Oncologist now are endorsing low dose vaginal oestrogen

Early evening each day after I've had my meal I come up to my 'nest' (bedroom). I have my old computer and TV, a hot water bottle, comfy bed and am thankful that I have managed to get through another day! My twitter friends in this uncertain word keep my mind active and needed.
