A Star Has Fallen... ✨ It is with great sorrow that I share some tragic news; several days ago, Julia Love, beloved mother, daughter, sister, friend, leader and visionary departed this earth. As all who knew Julia can attest, she was an unforgettable human being, or perhaps, a supernova in human form, here to burn far brighter than most would believe possible. ✨ I am eternally grateful to have enjoyed her company as a partner and best friend for several unforgettable years. To have journeyed to the ends of the earth together to spread joy, silliness and Conscious Decentralization, with a uniquely Doge-inspired, unifying energy. We initially connected over a shared passion for Open-Source Everything. For building a new world, rather than challenging the old, and ensuring that this revolution was as fun and inclusive as possible. As we both loved to say: “If it’s not fun, it’s not sustainable”. We were continually astonished at how aligned we were and how beautiful and motivating it was to find a partner who deeply understood and resonated with this shared vision and mission. ✨ As a cancer and car-crash survivor, Julia was driven and determined to experience all that life had to offer, knowing firsthand that our earthly existence is finite and never wanting to miss a moment. But within these experiences were countless gifts to others, as she always strove to make others feel welcome, comfortable and included. Julia truly lived her life in service to others, which is perhaps the highest praise a person can receive. Despite life offering plentiful challenges, Julia continually summoned the will to Do Only Good Everyday. Negative energy that she received was redirected to positive action, which was beautiful to witness and eternally inspiring. To all those who treated her kindly, you made her so happy and truly helped to keep her burning brightly. Please never miss an opportunity to treat others with respect and care, it can truly make all the difference in the world. ✨ Although her loss is extremely difficult and painful, it is heartening to know that the joy we shared and spread will echo forever onwards. There can be no doubt that Julia's impact on this world has been and will continue to be immense. From the Dogeclaren tours and appearances, to her extensive volunteer work with the Kabosu statue in Japan, Million Doge Disco, Decentral Vancouver, Decentralized Dance Party, THORchain, Own The Doge and many other community-driven, Open-Source initiatives worldwide. I also look forward to sharing the many hours of documentary footage that we captured together, to invite others to partake in these adventures and draw inspiration from Julia's unique, unfettered spirit. ✨ Julia also leaves behind her beautiful daughter, Ryn, who embodies a great deal of Julia’s spunk and spirit. The immense love that Julia dedicated to her daughter's upbringing has bestowed the confidence and grounding to surely set her on a solid life path forward. Spurred by Julia’s deep care and love for Ryn, we are preparing a fundraiser to help ensure that Ryn will be raised with as much care and opportunity as possible by her father, a loving stepmother and many other extended family members. ✨ It feels only appropriate to conclude with one of Julia's favorite quotes: "The Fate Of The Free World Depends Upon Our Goofiness". Julia's guiding philosophy and strategic silliness were driven not by ego, but a burning desire for everyone to share in the intense freedom and creative expression that her supernova-like spirit continually catalyzed. Within this divine silliness lay supreme vulnerability and accessibility, the essential precursors for real, deep connection AKA Love. ♥️ Julia would want us to forever live as freely as possible, never missing an opportunity to make the world a more joyful, vulnerable, expressive, connected and loving place. This loving kindness formed the essence of Julia's spirituality; an essence that also informs all great religions, and something the fate of the free world surely does depend on. Though perhaps not obvious to the undiscerning eye, her life and life’s work definitely served as a deeply-informed Spiritual Good. ♥️ Julia would surely hope that we hold true to these Dogely ideals while carrying on her work building Open-Source software and living systems, which also intrinsically exemplify love, selflessness and service to others. We will miss Julia dearly, but she truly lives on in our care, our kindness, our commitments to Love, and to one another.
