The AI panic is really unbelievable today. The level of delusion and hype have grown to mythic proportions. Has AI beaten Pokemon Red yet? Like a normal 6 year old does, by looking at the screen? Oh it hasn't. But all jobs are over in 18 months? This website is full of idiots.

@kanair Heres the secret nobody else will tell you: Consciousness is the part of your experience that can exit your body and travel through space and time. Russel Targ, the most credible ESP researcher, look em up. Then you realize why the soul has no mass.

Consciousness research often starts from the hard problem and declares consciousness has no function. But even if phenomenal consciousness does not seem to add new physical causality, the fact that organisms evolved consciousness may still matter. They are actually separate issues. We should ask what consciousness is for. Many say consciousness and intelligence are independent, but I suspect they might be deeply connected.

machine learning is more math than programming focus on the math, understand the concept, and programming is easy.
