World cup not contest 1942-1946 because of World War II. That is what FIFA documented.
BUT, historian said this was a big fat lie, the Wordcup played 1942 in Patagonia, Argentina according to documentary " The forgotten word cup" ( IL Mundial Dimenticato) by Italian historian. Only 12 teams perticipated in secrecy🤣😇

The 1986 cup had a lot of drama and excitement, Argentina under a 25 years old captain then, Diego Armando Maradona beat west Germany 3-2 at Estadio Azteca, Mexico City. Remember the same cup the HAND OF GOD goal was scored in a quarter final against England. Maradona scored 5 goals and the assist 5 to team mates.
