With local LLMs, like everywhere, hype X accounts are confusing things with bullshit. Here are some facts I learned so far: 💎 No, 32 or 36 GB unified RAM is not enough. Ideal minimum is 64 GB. 💎 Model decision always comes down to Gemma 4 31B (or 26B MoE) or Qwen 3.5 27B (or 35B MoE). These are the only multi-use models. Question is, can you make them fast? 💎 Yes, MLX on Apple Silicon is the real deal. Without it, local LLMs are just a stunt. 👀 If you are a beginner wanting to use an LLM in GUI, use LM Studio directly and forget about other tools. 🕸️ Open WebUI works just as well with LM Studio, which is good because it gives internet access abilities to your LLM (making it actually usable). 🤯 No current local LLMs will be able to run advanced skills with OpenClaw or Hermes. At best, they can be the brains of single-use agents, nothing more. There is a lot of hype bullshit on X. Do not fall for it; it will cost you time and money. If you need agents that get something done, accept the cost for tokens and use cloud frontier models such as Codex or Claude directly. You will not save money by buying a MacBook Pro M5 Max.

Qwen3.6-27B is the first model that made me want that Mac Studio My current mac runs the 4bit version at just 15 tok/s. Loading the initial opencode system prompt takes like 30-50 seconds. Is there a draft model I could be using inside LM studio for faster inference?

As a person who has worked professionally in visual content creation for more than a decade, I find the new GPT image generator extremely annoying. Folks, I love AI and LLMs, but what we certainly do not need right now is a new generation of slop image generators without clear usage rights and authenticity.

🙏No, don't do that. 1000$ per month is ridiculous price for most people. Instead use these cheap options: ⭐️MiniMax 2.7 - 20$/m - 180000 requests/month <- yes, that much ⭐️Ollama Cloud(GLM-5.1, M2.7) - 20$/m - hard to estimate limits, but good amount. ⭐️OpenCode GO (GLM 5.1, M2.7, Qwen 3.6 plus) - 5-10$/m - 4k-17k requests/month. ⭐️z.ai(GLM5.1) - 72$/m - up to 8000 prompt/month. ⭐️OpenRouter - free models, low limits. ⭐️NVIDIA NIM - free models, slow. Local models: 👉Qwen 3.6 35b 👉Qwen 3.5 27b 👉Gemma 4 31b and their variations like SuperGemma, Orstein etc. Opus is probably the best, but not worth it in most cases. Use cheap options while you can. And buy GPU.

Here's the truth people are afraid to admit: Even if using Opus 4.7 with OpenClaw costs you $1,000 a month through the API, you still need to be paying for it When it comes to OpenClaw there's simply no second best model ChatGPT is completely useless for OpenClaw. Doesn't complete tasks, actively deletes and messes up files, has no idea how to use tools Every night before I go to bed I pray ChatGPT 5.5 matches Claude at OpenClaw usage. OpenAI has been a lot more consumer friendly when it comes to limits and oauth use But at the moment there is no dodging the truth. Claude is the only way to go for OpenClaw I look at it like this: OpenClaw with Opus 4.7 is a super intelligent employee that works 24/7 without complaint Even if I pay $1,000 a month for API usage ($12,000 a year) that's still a steal compared to hiring humans I'd be paying over $100,000 a year if I hired an actual person. And they wouldn't be working 24 hours a day and they wouldn't be immediately responding to my telegram chats and they'd file HR complaints if I talked to them the way I talked to my Claw I'm confident OpenAI is training their new models for OpenClaw usage, but in the meantime, there's simply no 2nd best. Pay for the API.

This has been the biggest change to my workflow since Claude Code launched last year. You’ve got to try it out! It’s the fastest way to design, prototype, and communicate visually. And it’s absolutely incredible for making decks! Will share some of my top tips next week…

I cannot express how exciting this launch is. Honestly, some days I feel like I spend more time in Claude Design than anywhere else. It really has been game-changing for us internally. Please give it a try and feel free to provide feedback!

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet. It handles long-running tasks with more rigor, follows instructions more precisely, and verifies its own outputs before reporting back. You can hand off your hardest work with less supervision.

@farzyness Hermes is much nimbler. If you want agent that actually does things go for Hermes. If tou want to play and experiment, go for Openclaw

I love Anthropic's products, really, but the recent hype around Mythos starts to feel more and more like fundraising PR. Expect Dario anouncing new investment round.
